At Dalian SELLMORE Trading Co., Ltd., our 33 years in food packaging have taught us that real innovation comes from listening to bakers themselves. That’s why we’re excited to share the early response to our latest sustainable packaging series for the baking industry—already being put to work by artisan bakeries across Europe.
We focused on problems everyone in baking knows too well: how to keep pastries crisp longer, how to look premium while staying green, and how to make unboxing as special as the product inside. Here’s how we tackled them:
Using a proprietary moisture-guard paper, our new pastry boxes maintain ideal humidity balance. One bakery told us their croissants stayed noticeably crisper a full day longer.
We moved away from plastic viewing windows entirely. Our new home-compostable PLA film gives the same beautiful product view, without the waste.
From easy-fold lines for quick assembly to clever dual-chamber designs that keep flavors separate, every detail was tested with working bakers.
We redesigned the whole structure so boxes ship flat, cutting shipping volume by nearly a third. For small-batch bakeries, that means lower costs and simpler storage.

When the team at De Verse Oven, an organic bakery in Amsterdam, needed a better solution for their delicate macarons, they came to us with a clear challenge: create packaging that’s both eco-conscious and shelf-ready. Together, we developed a two-compartment box with a subtle natural-finish window—keeping colors and flavors separate while telling their brand story at first glance.
“It’s rare to find a supplier who thinks like a partner,” shared founder Lucas van Dijk. “They didn’t just give us a box; they gave us a solution our customers notice.”

This line was especially designed for specialty bakeries, patisseries, and gourmet snack brands that care deeply about clean ingredients and clean branding. Think small-batch producers, seasonal collections, and brands that tell a story through every detail.
It’s another small step toward smarter, more thoughtful packaging, and we’re developing it alongside bakers who inspire us daily.
